Dr. Sabrina A. Brinson is a diversity consultant, author, analyst, and a full professor at a mid-western university.  She is also a community activist dedicated to genuine equity, inclusion, and justice for all.  Her multi-disciplinary scholarship includes an AA in General Studies, a BA in Psychology, a BA in English Literature, a MA in Special Education, with an emphasis in Behavior Disorders, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education and Reading.  She teaches graduate- and undergraduate courses in diversity, research methods, and child/ family development.  Her professional platforms revolve around three lines of research that include diversity, multiculturalism, and social justice; culturally sustaining literature; and, social-, emotional-, and moral development.  Her research results are published in international- and national journals (e.g.,   Dragon Lode: Journal of the International Reading Association SIG in Children’s Literature, Multicultural Perspectives, Reclaiming Children and Youth:  The Journal of Strengths-Based Interventions, and Young Children); book chapters; and in culturally sustaining children’s books she designs to be utilize as curricula for overall healthy advancements.  Dr. Brinson is also a frequent presenter at international- and national conferences (e.g., Conference for the International Literacy Association, Ireland International Conference on Education, Conference for the National Association for Multicultural Education, and Convention for the National Council of Teachers of English).  She also provides services in the following roles:
